If a picture is a thousand words then video is a thousand pictures.
I have found over the last few years that the major development of the Internet is video. I have produced a number of small business marketing videos for the Internet and inserted them into websites, which has helped improve their visibility on the Internet search engines like Google, Yahoo, Bing, etc.
I was able to produce simple business marketing videos using a regular camcorder and inexpensive video editing software. Even a montage of photos can create a marketing video as can a simple power point presentation. A video produced in Oct 2008 has had nearly 1,500.000 views todate, (updated 2nd May 2012). See below.

This video below was made by a young lady who started up loading videos about how to apply makeup. She started in June 2008 and has over 75 million views of her videos and she does not have a website. What started as a hobby is her full time living promoting a number of well known cosmetic companies. She has managed to market herself online without a website.
Produce a simple video of your business.
If you want to improve or promote your business marketing via your website you should add an online video or two, now. This is the simplest way to gain more visibility and improve your site ranking on Google. Google loves video and will rank a video so long as the title, description and tags (keywords) are added when the video is uploaded to sites like YouTube. If you do not want to make or up load your own videos then there are companies and individuals like me who offer to produce on-line marketing video and help the video gain visibility on the search engines.

Who is Lanmark?
As you can see I am not a young Internet wiz kid. Nor am I a website designer or an Internet marketing guru. I have produced a few websites in the past for previous businesses. And years ago my view used to be to put up a website as a ‘brochure’. Submit it to a few of the main search engines and hope it got found. It rarely did, which meant, marketing my businesses in the traditional methods.
I sold a CCTV business in May 2008 and have since helped with marketing my families local busineses. I decided to learn how to market on the Internet and over the last couple of years have found a number of ‘tools’ that have helped me. Although I can put a website together it is not an area I want to work in, although I have put this website together with a ‘tool’ Icalled ‘WordPress’. The other ‘tool’ I found that I want to work in is video.
Designing a website is one skill, getting it a high ranking on a search engine (Search Engine Optimization) like Google or Yahoo is another skill. Both should be offered by your website designer.
My passion and business is video and I have realised video is a great marketing tool for businesses with or without a website.
