Thirty years experience in video filming which started with the opening of a video library in Stevenage in 1981, called Bunnys Video, (see picture). Video cameras then, were shoulder held cameras with a ‘portable’ VHS recorder which was carried on the other shoulder and weighted about 15 kilos.
Bunnys Video offered the first wedding video service in the Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire areas in 1981. Then, Weddings were normally held on Saturdays and Weddings booked would be video filmed by Alan while the video library was run by staff. Editing was quite difficult as the original was a VHS analogue tape which if edited and copied lost quality in the copying.
Now with the latest High Definition camcorders, high definition editing software and high spec laptops to produce high quality videos for businesses, Weddings and events, the quality of videos is extremely good, from the original filming to the edited completed copies. With a professional approach and years of filming Weddings, parties and special occasions Alan can offer a guaranteed high quality video that will capture the atmosphere and events of your special day.

These three short video clips with selections from recent Wedding videos were produced with a High Definition (HD) video camera. A Wedding video should be filmed by the cameraman discretely. The photographer is the ‘director’ and the videographer is the fly on the wall capturing all the natural events of the day. The videographer should blend into the background but be able to mix with the guests without drawing attention to themselves.
The high quality video cameras of today are small and work in most lighting conditions. The many features of video cameras can allow the videographer to work at close quarters or from a distance and be able to capture all the imporant events of a Bride and Grooms Wedding day.
Although an official photographer is vital for the Wedding photographs they cannot capture the ceremony, guests comments, atmosphere of the reception, speeches of the Brides Father, Bestman and the Groom or the first dance and music playing. Video can.
Here are a few video clips of some of the Wedding venues around Hertfordshire, filming in recent year.
Below are pictures from two more Wedding videos that were produced in recent years and available to view if required. Alan has never taken a deposit for a Wedding video. He will simply take a booking and payment is required after the couple have viewed the video and are satisfied with the result.
Quality video is about how a subject is filmed and how well the content is put together. Once the raw footage has been filmed the next stage is editing the video, which has to be done correctly so as not to change or detract from the story line. Final stage is burning video to DVD.
Our other family business is Edible Bouquets which make great Wedding table decorations.
